# Ubuntu: Keep Unity UI Launcher (Dock) Always Visible

<p>In the Ubuntu Software Center</p>

</pre>
<p>Search for it. "Advanced Desktop Effects Settings (ccsm)" matches, so install it.</p>
<p>Click the menu button at the top left and enter ccsm in the search bar.</p>
<p>"Compiz Config Settings Manager" matches, so launch it.</p>
<p>Click "Desktop" in the left navigation.</p>
<p>Click "Ubuntu Unity Plugin."</p>
<p>In the "Hide Launcher" dropdown, select "Never."</p>
